I woke up at the Loves in Hogansville, GA. a couple weeks back & found my passenger side fuel cap removed. I've got the anti-siphon inserts in my tanks so no fuel was taken.
I'd imagine somebody that night lost some fuel. -
My concern if fuel cap is off , no fuel missing WHAT MIGHT have been dumped in the tank ?
-
Road Soda?
-
lol. if they want it really bad, they'll just hijack a tanker or something.

Caught one guy around here years ago that would wait until a smaller gas station closed at night, remove fill cap to the underground diesel tank, pull truck over the opening, drop a hose in the tank, start a PTO mounted pump, pump fuel out of ground and fill his tanks.
Station owner got wind of it, hid in store one night, surprised the thief in act. Store owner shot the trucks fuel tank with shot gun. Cops showed up, everybody was in trouble. -

From aluminum fuel tanks? Of course not. Even if it was a danger who ever heard of a smart crook most are stupid and would take stupid chances anyways.
-
I thought about that as well but no signs of anything. I'd have never thought of the underground storage tanks. I guess that's why I'm not a thief I just wouldn't think of something like that. Not to mention my conscience would kill me for even thinking about doing something like that.
I've heard the company drivers selling fuel on the radio before. I wouldn't have even done that although buying it is tempting. Cheap fuel would be nice but pretty sure that would be a crime as well?! -
Easy there I started the thread and I only get a dollar a mile plus fsc. But that's why this worried me so much. Having to buy one extra tank of fuel in a week could cut my paycheck down severely.
