Back in 2009 I recieved a speeding ticket for going about 11 miles over the speed limit. Other than that I have a good driving record. I've drivin a class "B" bus vehicle since 2004. The only on road accident I've been involved in was in Febuary of 04, I was rear-ended. A few weeks back I filled out an online application for Werner Enterprises. I recieved an e-mail, as well as a call from a recruiter saying that I've been pre-approved, and all I have to do is make a date to attend orientation. But, I'm worried that my ticket that I recieved might prevent a company like Werner from hiring me.

The ticket from 09, probably not.

The accident - make sure you bring a certified copy of the actual police report with you to orientation.

Well if Werner does NOT hire you, you are LUCKY!!!

I wouldn't worry about it, really I wouldn't, I ain't the one looking for work!!!!

Seriously, it may be at the 3 year time limit. If Werner happens to go back 5 years, they still may not mess with you, as LONG AS the rest of your background IS clean..!!

    The accident is long ago.

    SO STAY CLEAN!!

What I would do is call the recruiter first thing in the morning. If they disqualified everyone with a speeding ticket,I don't think there would be many truckers on the road, lol.Werner would not pre hire you if that ticket was a problem. All their applicants have to go thru their insurance company process first.

I got hire on with Werner a little over a year ago and had a ticket in my POV 12mph over the limit and had no problem.I think as long as it is less than 15mph over and no more than 3 in 3 yrs.you should be ok.Good luck with the job.
