what am I supposed to do? run after him while I'm dazed and shaken up over what happened and hope that I can read a tag number in the darkness of night? I swear some of you people are mr. perfect. In retrospect I should have grabbed my flashlight and chased after him so I was able to memorize a tag number in my already shook up head. BTW it was an empty flatbed and I've pulled those before, I know you can accellerate pretty good if you want to.

Because I don't believe in putting my truck in a freakin DITCH when a car pulls out infront of me, that means I shouldn't be a licensed driver? I can't be the only person who thinks this way.... It sounds like somebody pissed in your cornflakes this morning and you picked somebody to rant against.

Yeah, because picking a job where I have to earn a living that happens to be an hour from my house, where I am required to work ALL night long is MY bad decision. Maybe I should just not work for a living and be on welfare, would that be better?

Some of you people are confusing being slightly tired and a bit slow on the reaction times with being pretty much asleep at the wheel. I get my 10 hours rest everynight because I'm a local driver, but when you work a 14 hour shift, and have to drive an hour back to the house, you aren't going to be in the same level of awareness as when you first go in to work. Surely there's some people on this website who know the feeling. I don't like how I'm being attacked here when I did nothing wrong, and a moron who stops in the right hand lane is being defended. Unbelieveable.

The fact of the matter is that you want to hear that you were right when you were completely at fault from making your poor choices. Nobody has to defend the truck driver...it may have been a disabled four wheeler or any other number of things in the roadway.

" doing less than the speed limit isn't speeding" = It may not be considered speeding but you can still be cited for going too fast for conditions.

"I had a tall box truck in my way" = Don't you just hate it when other people are on the same road as you? That means that you were following too close to the boxtruck....another poor choice that you made.

The responders of your post are not picking on you... they are trying to give you the wisdom of their experience which apparently you do not want to hear.

You are very entertaining. First you say you were not speeding, then later you say you were doing 60+ mph.

Then you said there were no injuries, then you say you were dazed and confused and shook up, yet the trucker caused you to have an accident.

Then you say that if a 4 wheeler gets in your way, you are going to plow into him as this is your way of dealing with people that get into your way??

I'll tell you, you belong in a psycho ward, not on the highways or even the side walks.

you blame others for YOUR BAD DECISIONS????

What I don't understand why this is the trucks fault. As much as it kills me to say this, Gizmo Man is right by blasting you on this one. You said a truck in front of you had to swerve as well. If you couldn't see around the truck in front of you, then you were driving to close. Yes it probably wasn't smart of that guy to be stopped the way he was, but whether or not you are in your car or a semi, you are supposed to be a professional. You should expect stupidity on the highway, and leave yourself time to react.
