And Hitler was just misunderstood! Let me put it this way. If you don't have anywhere else to go then they are a good choice. They could be worse but they definitely could be better. The fact that they have a driver pay tolls out of their own pocket (even with the $150.00 advance you still end up being owed money by a multi millionaire) and then give you a run around when you want to know where your money is should be a red flag for anyone. Then when you are pressured to make a run and the tolls don't match you can kiss that money good bye. If you send in a receipt for the toll you will get a copy back in the mail, not the original. The speculation is that they still charge the customer. I don't know about. I would say that they have to be ripping drivers off for at least $100,000 a year in unpaid tolls. Harvey Gainey shame on you. This is just my opinion however. I don't think it would hold up in court!

Um...... what?
-
Super Service is part of Gainey..... does this apply to Super Service? I've been considering applying there.
-
I really don't know about them. I would be hesitant after my experiences with Gainey. I would suggest Gordon or Baylor because they pay practical miles. I have heard both are good companies (or as good as a trucking company can get). If you don't need to be home alot I would suggest entertainment transportation. The company that is best in that area is Janco Ltd out of Wayne, NJ (888 janconj).

sorry to say the least i was there a week and treated like trash.is not driver friendly

This absolutely applies to Super Service, as well. Shoddy equipment, no miles, and a we don't care about our drivers attitude.

Some guy walked up to me this afternoon and told me he heard Gainey was going out of business. Then he asked: "aren't you the Gainey Driver I was talking to a few minutes ago"?
-
Definately sounds like a rumor then.
However, I heard the same rumor a few weeks ago from a driver of another local companies wife. That also has the word rumor written all over it? -
I was talking to another former Gainey driver the other day that claimed that he had heard that they had lost 300 drivers in the past month. They are probably sitting on a dock somewhere waiting to be delivered! There is no doubt in my mind that America would greatly benefit from that company going belly up. Unfortunately it is probably not true and even if it were some other company like Swift or J.B. would just step in, buy them and run the same shoddy equipment. God I feel sorry for anyone desperate enough to work for Gainey.
