May be a team truck with a 20% split going to each driver, if so very important info to leave out.

Everyone talks about the FedEx prehire, but what does it entail if you do not mind me asking? This is just out of curiosity.

If you're talking FECC , they don't hire drivers . If you're not an O/O you'll be working for a fleet owner but will have to be prequalified by FedEx .

Fedex CC is easy to get in as long you have a good driver's record and pretty clean background, from pass experience I always had to fill out a paper app which the fleet owner would email to me to print out and fax it to Fedex. As for the 20% I think he talking about a team truck which is 40/60 contract where drivers get 40% split and he gets 60% and pays tolls and fuel.40% isn't bad but in my opinion I rather take the 60% pay fuel and tolls which I do now.

40% is o.k. for a same household team . Team members from separate households getting 20% each isn't so good .

Ok I bite, what is 20% of? I know that rates fluctuate with everything factored.

20% What the truck makes per week,so if the truck makes $1.55 a mile and you as a team do 4000 a week, truck made $6,200.00,so owner takes 60% of that and each driver will get 20% of that $6,200.00.So if you do the math you can figure out what your cut will be,always ask the truck owner what the truck makes per mile,if he refused to tell you then move on because he looking to rip you off. Also in expedite never take per mile pay always go with the % pay not by the mile

Thanks for the response and the assimilation, I think any reputable owner would disclose the true percentage of compensation.

Expedited services is waiting for me to get a team. 40% split witch is good from what I've been reading. $750 to $950 a week on average so they say. They email you two apps, one for fedex and one of there apps. Then you just fax them in. There out of Ohio
