I have recently been dealing with a paclease used truck sale. The "salesman" will not let my mechanic look at the truck and inspect it. Ie. fluid samples, cat program, etc... He claims there services are world class, and was quite offended when I wanted my mechanic to inspect it. I find it ridiculous that they expect me to blindly buy a 70k truck without inspection. Anyone been through a purchase like this? Is this how all dealers operate?

Must be something wrong with the truck! All i now about dealers is that they only care about selling,(most of them) good service is hard to find in AB. my opinion

I wouldn't buy a honda civic from that guy!

Cory, I work for a used truck dealership, and we welcome welcome inspections from the mechanics of individuals who are purchasing trucks from us.

Time to walk away.

as per above ... walk away ... if you really like the tractor, ask to see the sales manager and explain the situation. AFTER your mech looks it over, you may even get a better deal. I've walked away before when I didn't want to and was later happy I did.

Run away! Run far away. Who is this creepy salesman?I don't think this creepy salesman will last long at Paclease. I sure hope not.$70,000 is a lot of money. I would go to the general manager and tell him what his salesman is doing. If you have money and are prepared to buy; then the company will happily remove the idiot salesperson from the equation. You have the money.. You have the power.

the same thing here, in Montreal. 80000 CAD and I'm not allowed to take it on the highway test... I like good jokes but this one wasn't so good.
