Wal Mart Parking

I 66 exit 6 in Virginia is a no go. Even with the managers approval to park there 6-8 of us got cited for tresspassing the other night. The manager wanted to talk to the officer but the officer refused to go talk to him UNTIL AFTER issuing all the tresspassing citations. This is a CRIMINAL violation not traffic offence on top of it all. I should note that this is just for being on the property with a truck UNLESS you're making a delivery. The officer said that Walmart is only leasing the land and therefor has no ability to grant access to park or even shop there.

 

The Walmart across the road from the pilot in Albany, ga, can't let anyone park past midnight, city ordinance. In my experience I've found that using my Aussie charm (American woman and clearly homosexual managers) melt when you walk up and use the "g'day luv, wondering if you could help a Cobber out, I'm an Otr truck driver and was wondering if it would be ok if I did a bit of shopping and had a snooze on your lot" only been refused at the Albany one because of the city ordinance and one that was across the street from a dollar general dc somewhere

 

I sneak in when I gotta. I have to add that some of you T/T drivers are tearing their grounds up so I don't blame them for saying go away. I've watched trees and stop signs plowed over, the driver KNOWS they did it, and they don't even stop to prop the sign back up. If you can't manuver in the tight spots go away! You are ruining it for everyone.

 

Negative. If they're leasing the land, they call the shots regarding who can park there. The owners give up that right when they cash the checks.

 

The situation on who calls the shots on parking depends on whether the walmart is a stand alone store, or situated in a shopping center. If it is in a center with other stores, the shopping center management is the one who decides who can park.

 

That is almost without exception correct.

 

remebr to pick up your piss bottle and trash and take it to the trash can, so we don't get out of anymore walmarts.

 

I never leave my trash anywhere except in a trash bin. I don't even agree with people just emptying their piss bottles in the lot. Smells horrible for everybody else walking past or parking there afterwards.

 

I'm commenting with out reading the entire thread... Had a security guard pull up while I was parking at a walmart near lititz,pa He said to ask management about parking first he then said the store has had problems with drivers leaving their trash behind on the lot. I respectfully declined and found another location
