    Great pay.
    Home time whenever you want.
A team mate that is like a soul mate.
A truck that never breaks down.
    Great pay.
    Home every weekend.
A team mate that never stinks.
    The very best equipment.
    Great pay.
    Always home on time.
    A team mate that...

    ...

    ...

Just like every other company out there.

PAM loves team drivers, team driving is pretty much the future of trucking now. They get bigger checks and miles compared to solo drivers. They also have a special division for Team drivers with good records and HazMat. They get payed a little more and get better/more runs then everyone else in the company.

Only problem is if you do the research you will find that PAM has some of the lowest team pay out there. Unless that has changed in the last year. Look at it this way. If they have all the newbies (indentured servants) forced teaming for entry level pay, why would they need to pay much more. I worked for them for four years. After 3 1/2 I looked at teaming. The cpm they quoted me, I thought was an insult. But, I didn't know much about team pay, so I made a few phone calls to recruiters. I was right, it was an insult.

You get IT from the HORSES mouth here. I ahve been teaming for eight months with PAM and you would be better to find a good place to SOLO first, not PAM. Then after you get some experience, go with FedEx or another reputable company. I have a short time to finish with PAM and I am gone. The pay is UP and DOWN and mostly down. We are paid 17.5 cents a mile. That means you have to run at least 4000 a week to make decent money after deductions and that means just paying your bills with enough to run on, maybe dinner for you and the better half. I wish I could afford to chew my arm off out of this PAM trap. It gets good for two weeks and then more garbage...i.e. Late runs, late dispatches, waiting at docks, bad equipment, crummy team director.......the listis endless. I found my company and will be there by the time the corn is knee high!!!

And I thought what they offered me was an insult! 17.5 cmp? So, if it's two first year drivers they are paying 35 cpm for the team truck. Uh, yeah that is WAY LOW. And so is 4000 miles for a team.

And at a decent company you can get the same cpm or better and atleast 3500 miles a week solo.
