I updated my Mahwah info from http://www.truckstopinfoplus.com which has the parking listed as 75, oh well, another ####e site not to trust again. Last time I drove past was 2005 and it was a construction site.

Got to whole foods Landover, MD. Getting my student partner ready to hit a door and another Stevens driver just whips it in front of us. (female trainer and student). I tried to be cool, but playing the dumb ### role don't work on me. I would ask "how stupid can you be"? But i see more and more stupid everyday. A one year driver has ZERO business training...... Blind leading blind. At 4 years i thought "do i really need to train"? And do i actually know my job wee enough to? Took a six month break and came to the conclusion that the more i train, the less students are out with inexperienced trainers..... So I'm back at it and get good examples all the time of how not to do things to share with my students. I'm not a great trainer, but i do train great. My rant for the morning.

Well, sitting in the door at Americold and in my bunk catching a nap. Im startled awake by something hitting the vent by my head. I jump up in time to see the Stevens Driver that was parked next to me take out my mirror and smash my fender with a swinging trailer door. ####!!!

Well, Im cool about it. We all make mistakes. Im not real bothered about it until it comes to me I have to log it and restart my 10 hr break ... Son Of A B!%@$ !!!!

Well, I'm in Bloomsbury, NJ at the TA.
They keep threatening to dispatch me, but with 6.5 hrs left on my 70 and nothing coming back tonight, I wouldn't count on it.
Somewhere this afternoon or more likely tomorrow, someone in safety will look at the list of drivers with expiring med cards and realize I am not on the yard...nor dispatched!
    Oh my!
    Lions and tigers and bears....
Wouldn't I love to be a mouse in the corner with THAT one!

No offense guys but Im glad I dont have to deal with these Mickey Mouse things anymore. No clearance sheets,no safety talk every 60 days.Dont have to recheck my BP EVERY THREE MONTHS,no workshops every three months.I know these are all safety related things, but for a senior driver that already knows all this stuff its overkill. And not to even mention the total lack of help from the weekend crew.No more standing in lines or hurry up and wait.

    I was wrong.
    Got a load assignment.
    Pickup 1900 from Hershey
    Take to Ogden
No reset. Just use the hours as they come back.
Wanna bet no one remembers to repower me back to Dallas?
I figure I'll have three hours to run tomorrow, then get back some good hours the next four days.
