Getting into Hot Shooting

Where are you getting your loads with your own authority? The LTL on the load boards does not even pay for fuel by themselves, there has to be something else. I can only haul net 17K so that leaves out 98% of what you find on the boards.

 

There is so much wrong information out there, this forum included. You DO NOT have to own a truck, but you probably should. I know people in this biz with multiple trucks who hire drivers. You didnt mention which niche of hotshotting you want to get in, and there are several. I can advise you on 1 of those niches only, hauling oilfield equip. If you want to pursue that come over to "Oilfield Hotshotters" on facebook and you will get correct info. If you want to haul anything else I cant help, maybe someone else can. Here is my personal opinion which may be right or wrong, If you come into this biz. and rely on "load boards" you will fail.
