2007 9400i issues

    I just bought a 07 9400i with a c15 acert nxs15200 I am recieving a fault of 128:F07 029_a. I replaced the acert muffler and installed 2 pto's this error is accompanied with a re-tard of what seems to be 30-50hp. it is also intermittent and only occurs under load. Any help would be greatly appreciated

    128 is for the engine
    F07 is the 7th fault code
    029_a is an active code, but the number is incomplete. Since you have a Cat, the SPN numbers that are close to 029 are all 4 digit numbers like 2988, 2955. They have to something to do with the intake valve actuation system. The LCD display is kinda Mickey Mouse, you really should have laptop connected to see what the actual code is.

    Exactly what my company mech thought an IVA issue why does IH even bother with the codes if they dont mean anything? thanks for the reply
    HeavyD what are the driver symptoms of an IVA issue if you know?

    Can't remember off the top, we don't see too many anymore since International is no longer a dealer for Cat engines.
