typical for Kraft. I had this discussion with our owner today.
I get help up at least 14-20 hours per week and it costs me at least 9-11 hours off the driving clock weekly.
he said that is way below the industry standard.
some links to this nightmare.

Rbht, it's a daily occurrence and here at swift, we do race to get mts
Outside of Tulsa, ata Walmart Dc while waiting for mts I have to wait among o/o and usually since I'm such a nice warm loving kind truck driver I'll give my mt to an o/o because they have much more dire consequences than I. Do. Swift doesn't give a rats butt if you're o/o and can't finda trlr they still want their weekly 650 payment -
Well you are so sweet, giving up your chances to getting back on the road.
Screw the o/o or other company driver, it's all for one and one for all out here.
I couldn't give a rats butt either if the swift o/o has a weekly payment, screw him, he signed up for this sheet, just like you did, and he has to accept the consequences for it. to give up an mt trailer for someone else to get going, makes you the fool.
Take care of yourself first, screw all others along the way.
survival is what it takes out here, and you are in quicksand, want me to hand you a cement block???Rollover the Original Thanks this. -

How much did that load pay? that's how much money you've made total between when you picked it up, and now. I'd be surprised if you made any detention pay.

Ouch! That sucks!
Could you imagine if you were an Owner operator right now?

This is an old story in trucking! It'll always be the sign of a bad company! Those trailers mean money and not knowing if it's MT is their fault and a sign of a bad company when it comes to matters of money!
That WAWA off 100 in Allentown will ask you to leave or they used to. I used to go back across from Kraft and park in one of the other buildings along that road and leave before they opened or they knock on the door and I'd tell them I was there for a FCFS appointment and give the name of the next door company! But at least I had a place to sleep! I've also slept along the street waiting for a Kraft appointment.
As for giving an O/O an MT? Never going to happen. Sorry, but I have a family to feed also so it's FCFS when grabbing an MT and if I worked for a company that had NO idea where their MT's, heck any of their trailers were I'd be looking for a better company! EVERY receiver where a D&H happens usually calls the company and tells them the trl is MT and faxes them the BOL with the counts and OS&D. ,if BFI has no idea where their money making trailers are then they darn sure aren't paying you that well either! If they do not pay you for searching for their equipment again I'd be looking for a better company! I DO NOT WORK FOR FREE!Last edited: May 9, 2012

are there any local guys that can take your load for you? that way you can get going. might have to bobtail+deadhead to pick up a new trailer, but i'd rather be rolling than sitting.

Nope I was the only guy around. I am sure Maverick will take care of me like always, excellent company. It was during the weekend too so I bet I will get weekend plus detention pay. This is an excellent company, all of the complaints other truckers make about other companies does not apply to Maverick. There are only three nitpicks about Maverick and the rest is excellent. My only fear is that one day I screw up and get fired and can no longer be a part of this great company. I may then go back to the regular world as I doubt any other trucking company can compare to their honesty, high paying, excellent equipment, fast responses, respectful team.

Whatever happened to drivers helping other drivers and professional courtesy?
Things will never be the way they used to be as long as there's always that one guy out there with that attitude.
