Yeah a bunch of times. Last was in 2010. Used to haul oil tanks up there every month. Was pretty new and clean. Expensive like all truck stops. Seems like they had 2 or 3 showers. Nice except for those #### florescent lights. Kept going out and leaving room dark for a few seconds. Few miles E of town on 40. Right near Frac Tech and lot of other oil patch companies. We quit going there after O Bama clipped all the leases. Really hurt them up there. Not sure how it is now.

Thanks for the intel, I am not sure if the load will work out but maybe going out that way and wanted to put some feelers out since that corner of UT I have never been in or around.
Was routing it out and researching and found that when I searched for the nearest truck stop available. Since my route is from the East how does 191 off of 80 look?
Nothing oversize or anything, just curious about entry into the area from the east. -
I went down west of Rawlins and took 40 in.

Where did you drop down off of 80 at?
Having driven all over Colorado I am trying to stay off of Rabbit ears this time of year, was looking at dropping down somewhere off of 80 but not sure where yet. -
West of Rawlins and before Wamsutter. Route is 709 south to Craig, Colorado and then west to Vernal. -
I see that now and thanks for the information, looks like a decent ride and not much problems. Did you find anything between 80 down to 40 west where you could stop?
-
Been back in 2009. Alot of miles since then.
I remember that I stopped at Rawlins for a break, and then Vernal.
There were not really big hills along that route except the long climb at Cheyenne. -
It's route 789 south at exit 187 follow that to craig Colorado then run 40 west. Not much for stopping thru there nearest truckstop is Rawlins. If you go to rock springs don't drop down 191 as it is still restricted. Go to hwy 530 out of green river instead although remember you've got 10 miles of 8 percent up the mountain and then 10 miles of 8 percent with 10 switch backs back down into vernal.

I was going by memory. The atlas is out in the truck and my wife moved the one in the house.
It is not hard to find though. Only road out in the middle of nowhere.
