considering 2 of my last 3 students were denied by both Swift AND Werner, you must be some kind of prize if May turned you down LOL
-
My 2 cents, is that if ee would of been turned down by twt, then he would of probably said suck it twt. I understand the frustration.

Try Marten, they have a terminal in portland. You would be on the western fleet which gets good miles, 2,500-3,000 a week. They run into wa. all the time,so no problem getting you home. You can take your truck home as well. Im on the marten western fleet myself.

Does Marten test for sleep apnea?
Someone was telling me that as a new hire you have to go thru a sleep test if their doctor determines you need it and that your neck size and overweight is the number one thing the doctor uses.
The guy told me that if they determine you have sleep apnea you have to use a c-pap machine that is monitored by the company. -
In addition, are drivers at Marten required to drive into Canada?
-
They only do the sleep apena testing if you hire out of the atlanta terminal for now. Eventually all the terminals will do it. Marten pays for all sleep study, c-pap machine, etc. Driver does not pay anything, but if you quit, you gotta turn the c-pap machine back in. But last I heard, only the atlanta terminal is doing it, not any of the others. No, you don't have to go to canada. Advise you get hazmat. They will give you some time to get it. You need 6 months experience to get a job at marten.

Thanks. I looked into Marten a couple of years ago. Talked to a recruiter and they said a sleep test would be required, that was out of their AZ terminal too. The recruiter did tell me I'd have to go into canada as well. Of course, these things could have changed. I liked that they had APU's on the truck. Other than that, I didn't see where it was really to my advantage to switch over.
