The problem, as I see it, is that only a handful of May drivers even post here on a regular basis, perhaps 15? Even fewer would post their miles. Therefore, a true representation of consistent miles and averages is not accurate.
I contend that one year 11 Western averages company wide are probably around 2,100 miles a week and 48 States around 2,600 week.
48 state miles? GOOD INFO INSIDE!

I came back to May on the 5th of December and was issued a new truck out of Layton. My odometer reads right at 68,000 miles.
I train, however, have had weeks where I had no student. I take consistent time off and reset my 34 hr often because of how hard and consistent I run when I have a student on the truck.
I employ a get there early and drop if I can. If I can't, I get there earlier enough so that I can reset my 34 hr clock and am ready to run with a fresh 70.
The math is pretty easy to figure on the miles I average. Yet, once again, that is not a true representation of averages at May, which is why I'm reticent to even post these numbers. -
Sorry/amazed we haven't met yet Scooter...I picked up my truck on Dec 5th in Layton also lol

Ducky, it's fine lol
I just don't want it to get too derailed with complaints/stories, etc (like I keep doing lol) though the types of questions you are asking is exactly why I started the threads.
As far as showing up early, I kind of just thought that WAS THE FREAKING JOB!! lol
I am always amazed/appalled when I talk to other drivers and they tell me about their exhausting 300 mile days and the subsequent 14hr break and/or how they have all these stops planned (dinner, movie, shopping, whatever) since they have 6 days to get 1800 miles. To me, 1800 miles = 3days, so it's getting there in 3 days...They will take it early, or I will get my DM to find a slacker who wants a 34 or more (they are aplenty!) to come sit on it so I can keep rolling.
I have to agree with Scooter's assessment of the 'popoulation cross section' represented here. There are literally only 15-20 May drivers who post in this section. And if you ask drivers in person, as you meet them, their comments will vary, depending upon their mood lol
Catch them after a crappy day/load, and they will tell you their miles/trips suck.
Catch one after what may actually be his first and/or 3000 mile week, and he'll tell you averages 3000/wk, because that's what he wants yiou to believe.rubberducky68 Thanks this. -
It's not always logistics scheduling loads with too much time. Customers will request deliveries to be made on certain days and use trucks as a mobile storage system if they don't have room in their warehouses.

Someone has to say positive things in here again, it can't ALL be on Scooter's shoulders! -
Scooter is a trainer, I am just a corporate slave and efron side piece.
