HUA??? Im slow I dont know what that is -

actually...
"hooah" present day Army catch all stemmed from "HUA" - which means:
Heard Understood Acknowledged
Ya know, the military love's themselves them acronyms!
Marines was a close guess. But I think their is something like OORAH. Which, just means "heck yeah" basically. HUA actually used to have a real meaning before becoming "cool" and morphing into "HOOAH". -

Years ago, I worked for a guy with about 15 trucks and about 50 flatbed trailers. Our back hauls were usually pallets of bagged cement, from Logansport, Indiana, headed to Chicago. They paid by the ton, and I got 30% of that. Made decent money, but the loads were pre loaded, and pre tarped. Just drop the empty, hook up the load, a few straps and bungees and down the road to the Windy.
Dispatcher told you upfront what the load paid, so you knew beforehand. I would try and find out what the loads actually pay your company. Maybe you're being ripped, and don't realize it.TruckerzWifey Thanks this. -
MNdriver has some good advice -
UPDATE:
My last pay check was for $248, NET.
I got it, looked at it, and almost shot myself. (just kidding, but seriously..my jar dropped)
So I talked to someone up the chain of command and informed them, understanding the weather and all, that if it didn't change soon, I HAVE, MUST, WILL look into other more gainful employment.
They were understanding and appreciated my honesty and being up front.
$248... can ya believe it? -
Well another on call day and $300 pay check.
Not to mention I've now had to raise issue about being shorted on one day and failure to even be paid for a pre-load on a flat bed. Which only pays $20.
I'm giving them ONE more week. At which time, if I don't see my pay check on a steep incline, I'll be looking at the history of this thread and finding some of those good suggestions that I have not forgot about and expounding upon their potential.
good day
