Hamshoe,
Good to hear from you. Some where wondering where you went. Your "Goodnight from.." thread is at almost 4,000 posts here and widely copied elsewhere. Wow!
BTW, when someone screws the pooch ahead of you in the winding, hilly places do you get a call on your cell, "We're shut down here at mile marker..." or do you top that rise at full speed for your "oh, s***" moment of the day? Despite the never ending truck stop bs, I still believe CB radios are must have safety equipment. Besides, the sudden bs on the radio makes it easier to find the truck stops.
Frank
Good night from...

Sonora, KY. Was surprised. got a load right away this morning outta Memphis. A 4 stopper 35 miles from the 10-20. Last night BT parking was a mess, and this morning, it was a disaster. Alot of very discourteous drivers that are to lazy to walk to the lounge. There were BT's double parked all over the place, and when I drove by, could not see how many that where in a legal parking place was going to be able to back out.

El paso terminal. Decided to snag some fuel here on my way down to laredo delivery. That and $2 to do a load of laundry is much cheeper than the J..
I think the fuel pumps here are off on gallons dispensed, put 70g of fuel in and hardly gave me ¼ tank... #grrr
Left phx terminal today as I snagged a tcall out of there.. wow, tons of trucks ready to roll out.. if yer looking for a new company truck. Get down there asap, I saw 10 drivers get brand new volvos, kw's etc... -
Yup, just got me a brand new Volvo from Phoenix last month.
That's interesting about the fuel.
Is Swift offsetting the discount with less volume?
I don't know how big your fuel tanks are, or how much you had in them before you fueled.
But with 150G tanks and nearly empty, 70 gallons would be just about 1/4 of actual capacity minus air space.
We all know you can't actually put 300 gallons of fuel in 2 150 gallon tanks.
And I know from experience that the guage will usually read a bit lower at that level. -
Maybe when I roll out of here later it'll stir the tanks and give me a more precise reading.
588mi to laredo delivery, going to be a long day tomorrow, going to push it to the laredo terminal, as I don't feel comfortable parking down along this route.. mainly after the msg I got w/ pplan stating not to park anywhere as they steal trucks and blast them into mexico.
I didn't get a fuel route, so im going to rock this bad boy via qualcom route.. hmm could prove to be a fun day. -
And you get to pay $.13 a mile to the Great State fo Oregon for the privilage of driving on their roads. (it's actuallly $.16 but Swift subsidizes $.03)
Spending the week at home ... uhmm beer, ahhh. -

-

Just kidding enjoy your beers -
Good to see you again! At Lancaster, the Dallas Terminal!Zukimart Thanks this.
