Schneider sand cans

I see.... Salary & salaried is defined as the issuance of one fixed amount of pay per period regardless of hours.

The $57,200 you speak about is $1100 per week or $17.95 per hour..... from SNI, and because you would be on "salary" then when you took off to see the doc. or attend another life event that your pay would not be interrupted or be changed, and this is your story, correct?

And of course, you work there, under these exact terms correct? Or did you read this? Perhaps you have a buddy there? How do you know this to be true and factual.....driver?

 

I have a conditional hire for that precise weekly number - $1100 per week, pending my arrival in early June. Thats' starting pay, no recent experience. The "hourly" rate varies from $15.27 to $18.33 depending on the number of hours worked, ranging from 10-12 per day, thus the term of art, salary. It's 6 on, 2 off. Salary from the recruiter's mouth means specifically not hourly.

Does it infer the rest of the meaning of the word salary? Haven't seen the contract. Still looking and applying elsewhere. I'm pretty sure that if I take an hourly or per load position, I won't get paid for days I don't show up. Chances are that wouldn't be much different at Schneider's so-called "salary", but it's not less likely there than it would be on an hourly or commission/per load job, is it. I don't have an axe to grind. I provided valid information to those who want to know.

10-12 hour days fracking a well? Hahahaha, that's funny and I don't mean to be a prick but if you're going to Schneider, or Wayne Sell, or Venezia or anyone for that matter in the oil business and expect to only work 50-60 hours a week you're crazy. If you're looking for that type of schedule you'd do best to not even sign on the dotted line with anyone hauling frac sand, just ask Logan, or Greenmachine, or me for that matter or anyone working in the gas industry you'd be foolish to believe those lies of 10-12 hour days.

I could be wrong, but I've been in this business long enough to know that if they say 10-12, you might as well figure on 14-16.

 

They are offering the same deal in Armstrong County, PA, and with a $1500 sign on bonus. In Allegheny County, it's $1346 a week, and the same $1500 signon bonus. Go get 'em boys.

 

The one I was talking about originally at $1100/wk. is hauling crude. I don't have the numbers on their sand cans, they call them all "oilfield truck driver" on their website. You don't know what they want you to drive until you talk to them about a specific location. And yeah, a guy would have to be an IDIOT to take that job....... I would strongly recommend that no one call them or apply. There's MUCH better pay available out there. Keep looking.

 

Well I guess I'll rephrase it as this, a simple blanket statement about driving in general. A 10-12 hour a day is a bit ludacris, but I guess it can be had. I heard on Channel 19 news(also known as the CB) that Ergon was hiring guys to haul nat. gas direct from wells for 20 plus an hour and 10 hour days, the Road King gospel is only speaken in truth.......

 

I readily admit to the same skepticism, Trashtrucker1265. I would also give almost anything to get a good sand hauling or fracing job, with better hourly pay, and a LOT more hours. I'm just telling people what I know about Schneider from my own inquiry. I don't doubt anyone can do better, and should.

 

all this sand activity is for fracking the eastern ohio area? or still in pa? thanks. i am down in san antonio, tx area now. i see lots of sand cans and belly dumps running around here. (and every other kind of truck)
