Careful how ya stir those tanks...
Jack Swigert stirred the tanks and caught heck from Fred Haise all the way back from the moon!

Jefforsonvill, OH. Worked a whole bunch of hours today. All of 4. Only 43 miles in the morning to go. Then 4 stops, 2 at the same dock and customer. then home for 3 nights of needed rest, and stocking up again on food for another 5 weeks out.

Finally made it to Denver for some home time to see my girls.
I was all set to start my ht this afternoon, even paid for a motel, when I get a pplan that delivers tomorrow morning.
Not so bad, though.
I delivered 60 miles north of Denver, so instead of bobtailing back to Denver I get the mt miles.
The load is a t-call and delivers at 0830, 6 miles away.
So I get paid for a local hop as well.
Plus, I hate to say no when a planner calls me and asks if I can help them out with a load.
Not to crazy about it being a live unload, but I'm not really doing anything until later in the day anyway.
And I can still spend the night in the motel and see the girls in the afternoon after they get out of school.
Now the only question is, will I set my PTA for when I had originally planned or set it out one more day. -
If it is Macy's they will let you drop it.

Nope.
And it's a hazmat load. -
Larado terminal. Parked in the back, not in the mood to look for the drivers lounge so im chill'n in the truck watching Family Guy.

I wouldn't want to get dirty either.

At a Pilot east of Knoxville, TN on I-40. Got to Alcoa at 4 and left at 9:30 after they took 40 minutes to take my trailer, ramp and dump it like the chip trucks at the paper mills and bring it back to me. There were 5 Swift trucks there when I got there and three when I left.
I got a pplan to pick up a Bush Beans d&h load near here in Dandridge going to Norfolk, VA, 500 miles, for delivery by 6:30pm tomorrow. I was going to turn it down and do a 34 but I have a full 16:28 left so I accepted it. (Besides, I can go visit my favorite niece and her Navy guy new husband while I'm there.) Now I'm worried I won't make it on time since I can't roll until 8am to pick up. Then there's going to be the adventure of finding someplace to park for my 34. There are a bunch of small truck stops in Suffolk but by the time I'm unloaded, grocery dc, I'm going to be hard up against the clock. I guess if this stuff was easy anyone could do it and they wouldn't need our highly trained, high price butts in the seats...

Frank,
Thanks to you and all the others that have posted on this thread over the last year and a half. I follow the the thread everyday or so and enjoy all the posts. Looks like I will be posting up again soon....started the rehire process and should be in a truck soon.
I don't know about you but I seldom get to top any hill at full speed...lol
It seems people either love or hate cb's. Personally I can't listen to all the BS. but I admit that it is nice to know why traffic hasn't moved for 10 minutes...at least you can hear what mile marker you need to get to, to get clear of things.
