I just started paying for a storage lot to do the same thing. It's a boat and rv storage place. For $50 a month I can leave my car there and drop truck and trailer there when home. Cameras all over and a secured lot well worth the peace of mind.

I always stay within shootin' distance of my truck. But if the place you park has cameras and your trailer is empty, no chains and binders or tarps for them to grab. locked up with curtains drawn. I would think that is the next best thing. It might not be a bad idea to leave a radio playing in the truck or something and a light on inside if you can do that without draining the battery. Just to make them think twice.

They stole 80 sets of truck/trailer tires huh? LOL. Thats a whole crap load of dunnage to set under all those axles on. They must have had a fleet of semi trucks to help them move all those tires and wheels. Not to mention all those tired arms from spinning all those lug nuts off, and loading them onto a trailer.

I know this thread is old but I'm north of Philadelphia and I ran out of cash until tomorrow. Was looking for parking but I can't pay so I'm at the 95S rest area right when you get into PA from NJ. Problem is there's signs saying State law 2 hours parking only. Just my luck. Should I try to take the risk of a ticket or is there somewhere close by I can park for free?
