for the most part....it all boils down to communication.....sometimes you have to be a little too flexible...if you get a good Fleet Manager it makes a world of difference in miles.....Mine on the reefer side are picking up it looks like anyway...

12 years here... and don't miss it except for Mom and family being there. Wait, I really don't miss it!

Sorry to hear Viper. Even after I didn't make it home that last time out, I knew and my FM knew and we both communicated about it. It sucked, but at least it was acknowledged. Seems to me that your FM or weekend planners need to get their heads out of their ARSE and stop doing that.

Mic, my apologies for taking it too personal but my point was I also get stuck in the same boat as all of you do.

Did any of you Roehl drivers do your orientation in Ellenwood GA by chance? Just wondered what all was involved, what did they make you do, how long is orientation, what they pay for it, training pay with a driver, etc.
Considering the reefer side. Just need some input as to all the details. -
It is what it is. I had the same FM/DSR for almost 3 years and had no issues. My new FM seems like a nice guy, but I think he just sits at his cubical and spins around in his chair not caring what is really happening.
Anyway, I'm over my anger and now I have accepted my fate. I guess that's a good thing because I'm in Gary waiting on a relay load going to Green Bay. That's not really going west either! Oh well, not worth getting upset about anymore. I'm now going to be 4 days late getting home. I feel like having a nice tall whiskey and coke, but I quit drinking a few years ago, so I guess this Vitamin Water will have to do.

sitting in rural indiana off of US 24 at my cons...had pretty much a non eventful day except for this morning....I got up and did my pretrip, but sundays I always check my air pressure on my tires with a gauge and add accordingly if needed....found a drive tire extrememly low...so I pulled out my air hose and filled it...after I filled it I looked at the tire and found a nice big screw in it....grrrrr...called breakdown and got it into the TA shop I was at....cool in and out right??? nope...the nice LONG masonary screw was stuck between the lugs but it was big enough to cause a split to the sidewall....of course Roehl didn't want to replace a tire with 28 k on it...but TA didn't want to fix it...so I got stuck in the middle while they argued back and forth....well TA won out and I got a new Goodyear super single...which means I will end up in the shop to get the mismatch taken off and a michelin put on...grrrr...oh well still had a decent day today though..

At Gary Terminal for the night. KW #9251 if anyone wants to say howdy.
-
At Allied Tube in Phoenix waiting on a preload going to Chino,CA. It's a 7 am delivery tomorrow and my 14 hr clock runs out in 4 hrs. Hummm somehow I don't think this is going to work out the way my FM wanted!
-
At the Hyatt Regency in Appleton. I haven't been up here in a few years and this is the first time I have seen this place. Much better than the old terminal they had. The showers are almost as nice as they have at the new TA's.

I have to roll tomorrow at 0300 to pick up about 50 miles from here and run it 240 miles south by 1000. Then I pick up near Chicago and run it to Cheyenne, WY for a Thursday morning drop. Then it's 2 hours south to the house for a few days off!
DrtyDiesel Thanks this.
