the days of back packing, tent camping, pick-up and camper, hunting etc haven't
been seen awhile but to me trucking shares some similarities in daily living.

And these stories are freaking me out.

Oh well. If push comes to shove, I'll put on my fake smile and carry on until I hit the goal.

Some people belong in the pigpen ! Oooohhhh a woman going potty by the side of the road........ Errrrrr maybe better start carrying a funnel? Or paper towels ? Definitely gonna be places getting sprayed, I mean come on, that's one thing guys have over gals, we at least can somewhat aim correctly . !?!!!?

I wouldn't do that for anyone, now not saying I haven't ever had a hot tire that needed cooled down or sumthing LOL. But that's emergency only, on a regular basis no friggen way. There's a SuperValu distribution center 50 miles awy from us that really sucks for facilities. Usually with dry grocery load you're down by roor 110-120. Of course the only facility is at door 77.........................Up on the second floor and down the long hall :biggrin_25521::biggrin_25526:

Just you wait till your day comes, when you can "at least somewhat" even pee at all. You'll surprise yourself at what YOU WILL be spraying.

There has to be more than that one facility to accommodate the employee's. That one you speak of, may be the ONLY ONE they allow dirty stinky truckers to use..??

This is a crazy I industry for sure and there are people like that out there but this is INDEED over board. Not sure how to handle this as I have never worked for any company but my own but I FEEL FOR YA GIRL! This kind of thing just makes me sick. Maybe thus is why the term professional DOES NOT ALWAYS apply.
Work this out though it sounds like she must smell horrible!

Well, I am off her truck. Last night was the last straw!

We were at a truck stop yesterday afternoon (Sunday), and she had me leave the stop to go to the customer.
So we are now at the customer in an industrial park that is closed..and we are 16 HOURS EARLY sitting in her truck!
No bathroom. no food.. NADA!!! She told me if I need to use the bathroom crawl under the trailer and go behind the tires!

I said why did you make me leave the truck stop to get here 16 hours early, this makes no sence as we were only 121 miles away to begin with!

Again, she said this is how it is. Get used to it. You need to be on time for the customer.... HELLO.. are you kidding me?! 16 hours early?

I said I want off your truck today. This is not how it is.

So I am here at the hotel until trainer 2 comes to get me.

I think you made the right choice! As long as you get a decent trainer the second time around I think you will notice quite a difference. Like I said earlier, its not uncommon for a trainee to switch trainers. Not a big deal in the companies eyes. Make sure that if she broke any safety rules or fudged logs etc... that you let the safety dept know so that it doesn't come back to bite you in the butt! I am sure they will be happy to know what is going on with their trainers out there. Would you want someone else to have to go through that?

I just received an email from someone who was in this exact situation and took their concerns to their safety dept. They were very glad to know what the trainer had been doing out there and took immediate action.

Hope everything goes better for you out there. Enjoy your toilet and shower tonight! :pottytrain5:

get another trainer...i used to be a trainer for swift and werner....as a trainee, you have rights and you can complain about it to her dispatcher and the training department of your company..they will listen....as a trainer, she suppose to provide you with a place where you can take showers and use bathroom everyday, that includes food services..its in her manual before she became a trainer.....if your company dont listen to you then i suggest you quit and work for another trucking company that is willing to listen and care about their trainees.............good luck...
