I reported him. Had to write a letter why I left for the higher ups. Now Im waiting on clearance to go with emulsified. Since it was Sunday night when I left noone would have been able to get me a trainer till atleast Mon/Tue. The hotel was 118 dollars a night it was cheaper for me to just fly home and wait from here. Plus I get to spend a couple days with my 3 year old son.

The rain up here in NY reminds me of Seattle or Portland.
It's not the rain that's such a pain, it's the humidity and how you never seem dry. A constant dampness.
Guess that's why I finally left the PNW years ago and moved to drier climate.
So now I'm empty. Waiting for a load. Notice another Buzzard that came in empty last night and still here, so I suspect I'll be doing a 34 here.
Could be worse.
At least we have laundry, restaurant, showers and a TV room.

Come on down to orlando where it is so nice, this high and dry and cold son of the west is dying. Truck says 104 setting in the dock. Officially it is only. 88 and a low 44% humidity. Feels sticky to me.
Maybe be unloaded soon and then to a TS for a shower and food. -
Man, that trainer reminds me of the last O2 trainer that I had back in Feb 2010. When I met him in Randall's office, he wanted to go to the break room to have some coffee and 'talk'. He asked me if I preferred to drive in the daytime, because he was a "night-rider". It turns out that he was a night rider because after I drove my 11 hours, he would take over, he would drive for about 50-120 miles and park for the night. I remember one time we had a load going to Tollleson, and had to do a repower for a Peterbilt production load that was going to Denton, TX. I had already driven 7 hrs of my 11, and we had to do the repower in Casa Grande AZ. Well, we got the load and were supposed to get it to Odessa,TX, where we would hand it off to another truck at 5AM so it could make Denton by 10AM. Well, I drove the rest of my 11, and my trainer took over at midnight. Well, at 2AM , I was awakened by the truck jostling about. I noticed the truck was slowing down, and then it stopped and I heard the whoosh of the brakes setting. I heard him talking to himself saying "man, I just gotta take a quick nap" and heard him getting into his bunk ( yes, I WAS sleeping in the top bunk while he drove, his bunk was too nasty for even my dogs to sleep in). Well, I went back to sleep, and woke back up when I heard the truck starting back up. It was 630AM. Needless to say , the load was late. Another time , on my last run with him, we were in Oregon on I84 going to Troutdale, and I woke up and noticed that it sounded like the truck was severely lugging. I peeked through the curtain and saw that he was going about 46 MPH, at about 800 RPM, and was swerving across the zipper back and forth. I couldn't believe it. Not to mention, every time he pulled into a truck stop, he would lug the engine and half the time would actually stall the truck. He couldn't downshift worth a ####. I just couldn't believe that this guy was actually a freakin' trainer. Not only should he have not been a trainer, he shouldn't have been out on the road, period.
Hang in there Vegas. If you are getting Emulsified as a trainer, you will be good to go. He is a true professional that will show you how to do things the right way. And Shower. -
Man, I tell you all this, I MISS being on the road. I loved the freedom of it, not having to worry about clients coming in and this or that, just get the load there safely on time. It allowed me to just be myself, and my stress level was very low, unless I was waiting on a load at the meat patch. I HATED sitting, and LOVED driving. Unfortunately, my wife has told me that she can't take me being gone all the time again, so I am staying at home. Now if I ever do get divorced, I'll be back out there again. I hope everyone is having a good day and being safe out there.

I am sure I will get juice to texas. Oh scratch that, it is direct and smart, so won't happen. 2 years ago I could predict what was next by my hours and where I was at. Now, look at tarrot cards, throw the bones, read the tea leaves, and I will still be wrong. I don't need a reset to reach dallas, so I will arrive first.

Well, got my load assignment.
Pickup at Kraft in Walton and take directly to Ft Worth.
I can actually do it with my hours. However, I'll be on the night crew for most of the run.
My punch list is long. They have decided to put elogs in this truck, so your's truley has to learn new tricks.
My lease is up in three months. They told me they didn't do the elogs last time because my miles were too high and they were going to sell the truck at lease end.
Guess they changed their minds. -
