Depends on which one you go for, they're all different in Experience Required, Pay Rate, Starting Avg. Miles, and Whether it's the General Region or a Controlled Regional.

Will basically lately in the last two years they say you will be regional and then the first week will be cool. Then they start running you around NC to NY to IL to OH and so forth and later they tell you are on a loop now etc... blah blah blah...
The good thing is that if you want miles they have it and they keep you in the mid west and north east which keeps you rolling everyday and money in your pocket but not as much money as say 2 years ago but they do have decent equipment etc...
I have worked for them off/on for 3 years. Some good some bad. Better than most.
Just expect this from them if you go with them. They are a decent and one of the better companies than you expect.
Just one thing. It's their way or the highway but since they are paying the salary you should expect to conform to and employer's rules. If not then get your own rig and authority. If it is flawed the DOT will surely let you know.
    Peace.
I usually averaged about 2,700 miles a week btw.

Controlled regional fleets run about 90% within their respected regions (SE, NE, MW, SW, W). There is a 10% chance that you will run outside your given region.

They also have what they call closed loops where you run a specific lane such as Atlanta to Laredo (Frieghtliner Parts) and back or from Atlanta to New Jersey or Chicago (PPG) and back.

Pay is based on the Region and or State that you will be driving in or live in. Most of the Loops have a base pay which means regardless of your experience you will only make whatever that Loop pays. There is extra pay such as stop pay, layover, detention, etc.

Miles are up and down - again depending on your area. In the SE we have not had that much turnover so the drivers that are running regional must be doing pretty good. We are experiencing more Intermodal drivers (due to expansion of that division) and DCS (due to new accounts) coming on board as of recent.

There is no such thing as regional btw. They just recruit that way to suck you in. At least now they say out 10-12 instead of home every weekend. LOL
Like I said though, if you want to run miles and keep your pockets full you run whatever they tell you to run. Usually southeast ain't that great unless on a dedicated or closed loop. Regional is really just otr.
