I have been in the HVAC field for 37 years. Done it all helper, installer, teck, sales, tech advisor, service mang. general.
Many years ago I worked for a trucking company in Tampa Fla. worked in the garage 3rd shift so i have been under many large simi's seen drivers pull in yard just just grinding gears off truck just jumping out frame as I am walking over to the truck I am thinking oh great late night at work replaceing clutch so truck can be rolling in the morning asking driver when did the it start looseing it driver could not speak english , so i pull the truck logs and see that truck just had inspection done before this driver pulled out this morning as helper was going to get the fork truck to push tractor into shop I start playing with the clutch puching pedal thinking pedal seems to be fine lets try this out for myself knock trans out of gear start engine puch in clutch not even a noisy trow out bearing slip into gear back off clutch moveing forward nice and easy slip into rev. move back out of yard nice and easy went tru 5 high gears before stop sign backed up pulled into yard shut down and found someone who spoke spainish and had them ask driver in office has he ever drove a standard before come to find out he drove a school bus before didnt even know what the clutch pedal was.
Now I hope to be able to pick up driving again without too much trouble. Headed to Springfield Mo. may 6, 2012
