As far as going out on the road with a trainer, I only ran with a local driver for a day and a half. After that I was assigned a truck and off I went. Maybe they have changed things around within the last 2 years?

Sorry to revisit this somewhat old thread but I have another question.....I actually live north of Houston and have seen jobs posted by Schneider online that they are saying are out of Montgomery Texas (which is close to me), I can not find any info online at all about Schneider in Montgomery, has anyone ever been there or has anyone ever heard of it? I kinda backed off Schneider for a while since their O.C. was down in Houston (about 60 miles one way for me) but if there was something out of Montgomery......

    Hey Guys,

I am two weeks out from graduating school and I am looking to drive for SNI I would like to drive in the bulk division out of the Houston OC. Any idea what I can expect to make my first year? I hope $40k+ the website says up to $56k per year obviously that would be for the experienced drivers. Is SNI a good company to drive for? Thanks Guys.

I'm van, and it's a good company. If you are a newbie looking to run bulk though, I'm not sure if you can find a better option than SNI.

    SJ1985 Thanks this.

Thanks for the info. I really appreciate it I am moving my family out of CA to TX due to cost of living it is near impossible to raise a family in most of CA unless you make $100k+. I just want to be 100% that I am going with the right company. Thanks.

Moving to Texas if Schneider doesn't work out you can always hit the oil fields with some tank experience.

I'm always hearing about these "oilfield" jobs, anyone know the schedule, where they are located, what your hauling or how far your hauling it. Do you need to live near the area or is it like a two weeks out one week home schedule? pay?
