If you have logged, driving experience, you'll easily find people who will be happy to talk to you.
My husband, for example, has been driving off and on for nearly 20 years, but has almost no logged hours. He's hauled a lot of livestock and grain, but it's almost always local, so, no log. He also hauled gravel and water for the county road department, but again, no log.
He had some trouble getting people to talk to him. Which is ironic, when you think about it. OTR has almost nothing in common with hauling in the oil field, but hauling grain during harvest, hauling cattle, driving a log truck etc. are all very similar.
But due to the lack of distance, you don't have to log your trips and thus have verifiable experience. lolwowo6057 Thanks this. -
not much "log time" 99% of my drive time has been local, daycab type stuff. I did some time with a large carrier but about 2 years ago. We do not do logs on local time.

A question for AC22 or anyone that can help.
Does anyone know if Plains, Falco or Tesoro rotates drivers, say 2 weeks on, 1 off or 3 on, 1 off ect.
What companies do or don't.
I have some companies wanting my filled out apps sent back ASAP, then I have a 2300 mile drive.
Thankyou very much -
