My husband just completed orientation with JCT and I have to say, we are fairly impressed so far. I will be joining him to drive team in a couple weeks. The orientation was very thorough and they answered all his questions adequately. They also took part of a day and went over just what it will mean to be an O/O, and ran numbers with the orientees so they know what they will be in for.
As far as truck selection, the way it is done now it that there is a test that you take on the 2nd or 3rd day, and whoever scores the highest gets first pick at the trucks. They go out in groups of 7. According to our recruiter, they had to make changes to the truck selection process becuse there was too much chaos and even arguments breaking out over who got what truck. I mean it is not a perfect system, but at least it organizes it a bit better.
So far though, JCT has been very good, my husbands truck had several mechanical issues and they immediately put it in the shop and fixed everything, even put 2 brand new steer tires on. They have made good on everything. Very nice people in the office, recruiters are very friendly and helpful. I think this will be a good experience for us. The average miles for teams per week is 5000 according to recruiter. So, we will see how goes.
Will update posts with info as time goes on, I noticed all the posts for JCT are several years old.

But...but...JCT is an outlaw company!! They force their drivers to run illegally and will cut their miles if they refuse!! In orientation, the safety director said that you are required to pull overweight loads!! And now that they are on e logs, you can't get any miles!!
Thanks for the honest review. As for me, I am on a quick run from Utica, NY to Lebanon, IN...Grandma's Bakery load (and if you have never been there, the smell is absolutely incredible!) After that, I'm preplanned on a load to WA. Once I deliver the load in WA, it will complete my 3rd straight week of 3400+ miles. The miles are flowing, and the paychecks are good!! Let's hope it stays this way.Jarhed1964, scottied67 and Alanp613 Thank this. -
Well my plans came to an abrupt halt today. I was driving down I90 last night and my CEL/MIL came on. I brought the truck to Freightliner in Buffalo to have it checked out. I was completely shocked to find out that my DEF tank was full of diesel fuel!! The best thing that anybody can come up with is that, when I filled the DEF tank up last week, somebody put diesel in the bulk def tank...either that or I was sabotaged. Either way, the truck won't be repaired until sometime next week...so JCT is going to fly me home to spend time with my family until the truck is ready.
Life is ###### sometimes, but JCT has once again proven itself to be a class act.Trints70, Alanp613, scottied67 and 1 other person Thank this. -
