Norfolk, VA at Big Charlie's again. Got my Home Depot load to the store on time at 1130am and waited until 500pm to be docked. Place was jammed with freight and there were 5 loaded, sealed Swift trailers dropped with two more docked and still loaded. Tried to get ok to drop mine and never heard back. Tonight I got a pplan picking up at Cal Cartage in Suffolk in the morning going to the Target DC in Lugoff, SC; the same load I ran yesterday morning. Sent my DM a message to please get me the * off the east coast.
There's a good restaurant here but went across the street to a steak house that also has oysters. Ate two dozen raw oysters, two dozen steamed clams and a perfectly grilled ribeye with all the fixins and waddled back to the truck. I wonder if Swift will reimburse me for the $8 a night it costs to stay here since there are absolutely no other choices for about 40 miles. Yeah, sure! Plan on being a degenerate and stopping at the Risque Cafe on I-95 in NC for boobies and brunch on the way tomorrow because they advertise, "We dare, we bare" on their billboards.

Thanks

Yes im on the o/o side now, not sure if they are a pod. But there is 4 or 5 dm's there and Mike, the safety guy. I get along with all of them, never have any issues at all. Heck they even answer my stupid questions, a lot. Lol
More or less all my issues are with csr/planners trying to push crap loads on me for short miles and heavy loads. If I need help with a stubborn csr/planner that wont quit, I call phx.. problem solved. -
Yea guys I didn't do a mac 22 when I got there. I did it 1 hour prior to arriving, soon as I got te PP, as I had to find and mty, then unload ¼ of crap out of the trlr then sweep it out, w/o pay I might add, sux.
Hmmm.. I just walked up to this abandoned truck stop store, along the I20 here in Texas, where im parked for the night. There is still beer, soda in the coolers, shelves are stocked w/ produce and yet it looks as if no one has been here in years. I mean weeds surround the place, fuel pumps are gone and there is one neon light on in the store that says beer...

Fred is in Iowa, where he was dispatched, but according to the receiver, he should be in Colorado. Nobody has given him a solution to his current deliema, and his DM is mad at him, again, because he refused to do a local run, which it turns out he couldn't do anyway because he still has a load on his back since the receiver refused it. The DM waited until today to tell him about a mandatory log class that he was supposed to take and will be put on safety hold if he hasn't completed the class by Sunday, and guess what, there's no possible way that he could have completed it because they don't give the class at the terminals on the weekend. I'm back in head banging mode because I know that somehow all this is going to wind up costing him his job, but at the same time, I wonder just how bad that would really be?
