My wife is from the Morgantown area. She and her family moved to NE Florida in the late 60's; we met at FCCJ in the early 70's (known as FJC back then) and everthing else is history. We moved to PA to be closer to her extended family back in 2000. A truly beautiful area full of great people. We're doing alot better financially than we ever did in FL and bought a beautiful spread at the right price before everything went crazy.

A Southern Boy fitting right in..imagine that!

The people with 'chips on their shoulder' have been there for quite awhile, many call themselves 'red circle drivers' - whatever in heck that is. It's a mix of drivers from all races too; all too obvious to those of us with lengthy experience with employment in general and trucking in particular. Guessing I had just too much experience and supported the wrong union although I've had little union experience before coming here. There are many Teamsters on both sides of the family so I've heard all sides.

Active employees I've managed to speak to state the crap that goes on at ATT, Iron Tiger, etc. would never be allowed in a Teamster shop.

Rcslr1961, wishing you the best possible outcome with your upcoming medical procedures. I'll probably do one more trip before submitting my resignation - away from home for way too long for the little bit of money involved.

Custom Thunder I have a childhood friend that worked for ATT and got pissed like a lot of us have over the last few years. He went local and missed piggy backing and wouldn't come back to ATT so he went to work for Active in Ohio. And yes in the past Active's contract has been better than ours, but they gave more concessions than we did and he looked at me and said that right now your contract is better than ours. I believe him because we graduated high school together. Good luck with your future and I just never see myself showering in truck stops or sleeping in a truck again. I've been staying at the days inn in SA since day one. It's not the nicest motel but they always take good care of me and have given me great service.

Well ATT Doesn't want me:( I was in communication with a person there told her my issues and she said "That they would look at it on a case by case basis" Well they didn't do that for me!.

That would be something if ATT had a better contract than Active; that would mean that Iron Tiger has a better contract than all of us!?! I have a copy of IT's contract but have yet to see Active's current contract. Been with ATT for many years now; gets more strange by the day!

I've been reading this board for years, figuring it's past time to sign up and give my opinions too.

Regarding the guy who works the morning front desk at the Days Inn - he's nothing more than a ATT shill and a bum. I only go there as a last resort.

Speaking of 'strange' I witnessed one of DP's shills recently who returned after a long absence. He lost some weight, cut his hair and groomed his facial hair and looks much better overall. He is trying to pass himself off as a 'new hire' now when he passed himself off as a 'red circle' driver before. He 'dispatched' but did little more than pretend to pretrip a set and wait for everyone else to leave. Often typical of these guys. I don't care for the Days Inn whenever I'm in San Antonio either.

I agree the Days Inn is a dump but they've went above and beyond to take care of me. The Comfort just crapped on me so many times I quit staying there. I avoid San Antonio like the plague. It's a joke, I know I get screwed with eastern Canada going out of Cleveland or Mt Holly but I'd rather do that than go to San Antonio. Been nothing but Ontario the last few weeks. I don't have to stay with ATT, no one does but I won't do anything else. It is whatever makes you content. If you don't like ATT you can always go somewhere else.
