Hello Road and excellent choice. I see you have yourself listed as "student", did you just get your CDL? If so, I can let you know what to expect. The 0.30/mi is once you're on your own and off your finisher's truck. I was told average solo miles is 2300-2500, we just did 3,003 this past week operating as a solo truck. Good luck and see you around!

you couldnt have made a better choice.....and that's coming from someone who made the wrong choice first. I started at another company, but finally came here....And I wish I would have started here..because there surely isnt a better starter company around. Good Luck!!

    Roadwarriorking Thanks this.

You're welcome. I've got a thread here (Joplin 4/23) that outlines what you can expect your first week after getting to Joplin. I'm still out with my finisher but that's because she had some pre-scheduled off time. You'll make .26/mi with your finisher and they give you regular raises until your first year when you'll hit the .36 marker. Then you follow the same pay scale as all the experienced drivers. I'm enjoying it so far and I don't even have my own truck yet. LoL The guys who were in my orientation class (there was 6 of us total, 5 guys and myself) some of them have hit 4000 mi with their finishers. The beginning of summer is a great time to start because lots of freight needs to be moved.

and as a bonus...no icy roads.
Of course once winter rolls around again...make sure you talk to all the experienced guys you run into for some pointers!! Even if you driven in ice and snow in a car...its a whole new ball game in an 18 wheeler (or 10 wheeler as most often is the case here).

I average roughly 2800/week.the key words are roughly and average. You may have an 1800 week then a couple of 3200. I've even had a4100 before.this is due to when you're dispatched the miles not just when you run them.

Here it is exactly, now I keep Cookie on the road with me which costs .01/mi. If I keep my fuel economy within company allowance (more than 6.2mpg) I get that back on the 3rd week of every month. Here is a basic check though. For obvious reasons I removed a couple of bits of personal information
