Ok, since we never really know if a "new member" such as yourself is on the level, or just spamming the boards till he gets banned, I will answer a question or two for you.

over 500,000 miles, in my opinion, you had better make sure the truck passes a DOT inspection, and oil analysis. It would be prudent to have money saved up for any major repair that will happen soon enough.

over (or so very near) the 1 million mile mark, I'd pas on it, and let the seller ship it to Nicaragua, South America, or Mexico.

Now, is owning your own truck worth it??

I cannot say for sure because all I do know is, that you will be "theoretically married to that truck for a long time.

You will have to make sure the maintenance gets done, the cleaning of it, polishing of the chrome or stainless steel, etc,etc.

You will have to keep up on all your expenses, pay your bills on time, etc,etc.

At first, if you do not hook up with a very good broker or another company for freight, you will run your butt off for several weeks at a time.

It will be hard work, that WILL TAKE DEDICATION each and every day.
