Alright...the hours I had for my last drop were wrong...but I did get unloaded about the time I was supposed to show (they do earlier unloading on tues and thurs only)... got out of the city unscathed..wasn't too terrible of an expierence only 1 turn I had planned I could not make due to lane restrictions...so I adapted and overcame and made it out of town....my best advice to people going in...MAKE A PLAN IN AND OUT if not several...and GET A #### MAP AND REVIEW IT!!! they are free at the Lombardi...not to mention online...I have cheryl to thank...

so after running reefer for a bit I have come to the conclusion...there is a lot of reefer freight out there.....the miles are low because FM's and planners don't plan well.. or don't have enough expirenced drivers...cause they put a ton of time on these loads.....I got asked if I could make babcock wi...which is just over 1k away by monday 07...even running recap I can do that....I told my FM with luck I might be able to make Gary by tomorrow AM and still take a 34 hour reset and still make it on time... (routing has me taking 476 to 80 w I might just make gary by skin of my britches but its going to mash the gas to do it)

Is Lorrie S. still there? When hubby and I teamed there we sitting was a way of life. Miles were lousy.
-
yeah...lori is still on the reefer side...
-
Is Spanky still planning?
-
I don't know mel...but I think I can plan better than some of the planners...I mean really i get 3 days to get 511 miles...jeez
what I mean by that is My FM asked me yesterday if I could get 1k miles and make it to the cons on time by monday...I said it would be no problem...and if everything went right I could almost squeeze out a 34...well I can't squeeze out the 34 anymore cause I use some of that time to fight the z monster last night that was kicking my ### and had to call it an extremely early night...
I think monday I am going to have a come to Jesus moment with my FM...and explain again to him that I like to run...and sitting doesn't make me money...hes getting the picture...but I want at least 2500 miles a week...or it just isn't worth it to stay with Roehl...and will seek employment at other companies.. -
Weren't you getting more miles in the dry van division?
-
I was getting decent miles in dry van and was told by a reefer FM that I would get the same with reefer...which they are starting to come up...its only been 2 weeks since I have been in this division and I think part of it is due to my FM not knowing that I keep my left door closed..with the hammer down....so I think it will work itself out shortly...cause this week I should have 3200 if I keep my next trip...

on my way to MA...got unloaded early this am....and then the day went all to hell if it could go wrong...or delay me did it....I just chalk it up to being monday....but after I got the cranberries unloaded I needed a washout before my next load...(you can get shovel fulls of cranberries out of a trailer after they unload the crates)...so I got run up to marshfield to wash out...pulled into fuel Island and got sent to the tire shop for my mismatched drive tire I completely forgot about....grrrr...then had to hit the wash bay...pulled in and opened the doors...and low and behold...the trailer wand is broke and the other hoses don't reach into the trailer...grrrrrrr got that fixed after going back and forth with maintence....got washed out got to my shipper in Rapids...loaded...then off to MA...of course traffic in Chicago is retarded...and just eats my hours to nothing...grrrrrr...but I made it east of southbend so meh...
DrtyDiesel Thanks this. -
Still on the way to MA.....will make it to cons tomorrow...but won't take me til 24th...no biggie...have a preplan for p/u in springfield to deliver the same day in maine...only about 2.5 hours away...hopefully my first unload doesn't screw me...
