I never worked at abc and don't haul dry bulk now, but did it for a foodgrade company delivering starch and flour to plants and loading my trailer from a railcar. It's hard, hot, rainey and cold work depending on where and when your unloading of course. To load: You pressurize the rail car for 20-30 mins, then start loading the trailer by opening up the railcar valves underneath, once its close to full, you disconnect and go to a scale then adjust the load weight. So it can easily take 2-3 hours to load and reattach your hoses. If its a split (the railcar is low on product) you fill from 2 different cars. then drive to the customer and hitch up the hot hose, pressureize the trailer and unload. Its dusty and in the summer its a pretty long day. Make sure your getting paid hourly to load and unload, and a decent cpm to drive it. Some companies will try and pay a loading fee of only $25.00. You can easily spend 3 hours loading and sometimes longer if things slow you down. You do paperwork, cut rail seals, scale the load a few times, and drive from the railcars to the scale. If you have a trailer with a weight box on the back its better and it takes some time with a good trainer to save time. That my minimal experience with dry bulk. Hopefully you get a preloaded trailer and just deliver it, or drive a liquid tanker which is what I do now.

ABC is a very good company, I work for them out of Strasburg VA. the keep you in good equipment, but don't expect to keep it clean up there. The pay is very good for being home every night, and Terry the terminal manager is very easy to get along with, better than most other local jobs. The biggest pain is dealing with Carmeuse, but you gotta do it . Other than that very decent

I get the heebie jeebies just thinking about Carmeuse lime.
