Plano Il is a dead zone right now, saw 3 other trucks bob tail out of Menards besides me. No loads and no MTs. Number 7 on the list right now. Had picked this load up in Dalton, and went back to C-Ville to get 6 tires changed on the Trailer that where flat spotted. Not just a little looked like someone took a buffer and tried to shine the tires all the way around.

Rand McNally GPS. How many r having problems with them. My experience so far in less than a year has been the speaker has gone out and now this morning it won't power on. I no 2 other drivers that have had the same problems. 1 has returned his and got a refurbished one an is having the same issues as with his first one. Customer support sucks. Thinking of buying a different one but looking for some feedback on PC Miler or the Cobra

I have the Garmin Dezl, works great, has routed me around numerous low bridges in Chicago. It does lock up once in awhile if I move too fast through the selections. If I take my time and allow it to do its thing, works great, would I buy another one, already did, for back up.
indianaEMT and Sheff63 Thank this. -
I want to once again say sorry to Mojo for missing a chance at Mexican! I know you understand loads are due, but it still sucks LOL. Why can't dispatch get that hahaha!

Hey guys. I've been reading this thread for awhile now. I have noticed a lot of down time/ waiting. Is this pretty common with Millis? I hear a lot of good things with this company and am considering taking a $20,000 pay cut in my first year to do this. I've been looking at a few others, but Millis drivers seem to be one of the happiest. I really hate my job and the ex- wife and all the crap and need a change in job. How many miles do you guys average? I live in Racine, wi....how is the school in Wi?Also, only east coast driving? None out west?

A lot of down time can be common in certain areas and during certain times of the year with any carrier. It just happens that when we have the down time we have time to post on here so take it all with a grain of salt. I have no complaints with my miles. I keep rolling and rarely do I wait more than 15 minutes for my next load.
Mspinner Thanks this. -
Thanx LB.....I'm not greedy but I love to work. I just turned 48 yesterday and never been unemployed. Only 3 jobs my whole life. When I decide to do something, I'm in it for the long-haul

In my short time with Millis, down time has been about 10 hours a day LOL.
