Aint that the truth Patty. I had a soccer mom call on me several years ago.
The boss doesn't care what the situation was, the driver is always in the wrong.

 

No such thing as innocent till proven guilty in this profession unless you have an office or cubicle.

 

It's the same in the industry I'm in now. Be carefull what you wish for. The only good thing about my change in careers is the pay and retirement, other than that I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. F###### Sucks.

 

had someone call in on me a few months ago. small co. and they said they know I am not that way, wreckless and aggresive driver. the four wheeler was one of those that like to play speed cop and try to slow me down.

drive for a company where they can get to know and trust you.

 

Have you considered becoming a dispatcher?! Take it easy brother. Look into leaving a company and leasing on as an O/O somewhere or getting you're own authority. Life is far better when you are your own boss...believe me.

That's FedEx ground for you! To be a TM all you need is a degree in basket weaving and your a manager. They usually have no driving experience at all. They act like they know all and will never listen to a driver cause they consider you lower then them. They never listen to a driver trust me your just a lower worker with no management skills. I worked for them and 3 of my buddies did too and they got the same feeling luckily I work for a very cool contractor I never wanted to deal with the TM.

 

, wait till he gets 38 -40 years in. Either make it, or Expire. I know exactly what he is going through, been there many times. You have to look forward to your retirement, and when you get your time in, It doesn`t matter what they say, because you can say Im DONE then. Put your time in, then quit.

 

I know everyone I've read on this post is so sympathetic of the plight of the OP. Everyone has their moments of 'I'm so through with this". But come-on... All these call in's and "I just had too's".

Maybe the OP is just driving around feeling like everyone else should get out of the way because he's got something to do.

People in cars ( and trucks) are gonna do what they do. Always been that way. It's up to the driver to do their best to make adjustments and act like they know what they are doing.
