Hi, im new to the trucker forum as well as a soon-to-be truck driving career. My question is when i finally start out with my first truck, what will be some of the basic amenities provided on the truck be? will i have to buy a fridge and microwave and tv? if so, what are the dimensions of these items that way i dont buy something too big... and should i invest in good quality twin size mattress to replace the non-comfotable one in the bunk? and what other little things should i invest in and have that will keep me sane? things that people dont normally think about on a day to day basis? thanks for all your help guys!!

steering wheel, brake, clutch, and fuel pedals, windshield, door glass, and if you're really lucky, a radio.

    but seriously??

we cannot tell you what YOUR trucking company will have, like a fridge or power inverter.

Until we know exactly where you will go, then and only then can another driver tell you.

You'll be going to a starter company so unlikely you'll be provided with any amenities.

Thank you, I am in a very good mood, which is rare, and at times, I like to start with something funny or insane.

What is life, if no humor is injected..??

Buy any appliances at Wally-World, not the truck stops, if you can help it.

BUT WAIT to make sure you even get hired, or even pass your CDL driving test, and that you have NO background issues WHATSOEVER..!@!!!!

Some have built in Fridges , but not many companies order that in fleet trucks. I think some will have Satellite Radio , most just have a radio with Cassette , maybe if lucky a CD player. Some have CB's but most will not and will have a empty place to put yours. I have never heard of a Truck coming with a TV in it already.

Most will have a Bed , some cabinets and a few 12 volt outlets as well as heating and AC controls and some light switches in the bunk.

    MeAndMyTruck Thanks this.
