I was wondering, if my turn signals dont work when the lever is in position is it the switch that is bad. I took it apart and cleaned it and now when i move the blinker switch the lights stay frozen. Hope some one can help me out.

Did you check the light bulbs and the fuse? Sounds idiot simple, I know. But sometimes it's the simple stuff we forget to check, especially when we start overthinking the issues....

Did they work before you took the switch apart? Sounds like a flasher issue to me. By "lights stay frozen" I'm assuming you're meaning stay on with the switch.

Yea by frozen i mean the lights stay on. I bought the truck with this problem. I know that this may be a real simple issue but i wanted to know what other people thought is was. Flasher relay is the the actual switch or is the relay somewhere else. Thanks for the help guys.

When the t-sig lamp comes on with the switch it means the switch is good and all wiring and circuits are also good. The switch gets power from the flasher so the flasher is doing that much but that's only half of it's job. The other half of the flashers job is to interrupt the circuit to cause the flash by being overloaded by the circuit (bulb load), so the flasher is the cause of your issue.

The flasher relay is in the fuse box. Largge black square looking thing, you can sometimes hear it "click" when the turnsignals are activated. Your fuse box cover should have a diagram on it to tell you what is what....

brsims it depends on the truck as to where the flasher is located.
