Yes it could. Fortunately we weren't going that fast, only about 35 or 40.

I figure we slid about 30-40 feet or so. We both got a little beat up. My wife took a worse beating than I did, but she's walking too.

Remember, always wear your leather gear. The first time it protects you from road rash makes it well worth what it costs.

Pathfinder... you will also find differences in prices between the same body style, same year, same mileage with different engines (CAT, Cummins, Detroit). I'll let you figure out which one everyone wants!

Mack, Glad to hear you and the misses are OK. I had a similar crash happen many years ago; I was going about 50 mph, and saw a cow in the road! I think I slowed down to about 25-30 when I broadsided it, I ended up flying about 50 ft on the (thankfully) soft shoulder.
I got up, scoot was wrecked bad, the cow got up and ran away! But I did walk away.

Mack Iam real happy to hear that you are both ok!

That wasn't the case for a friend of ours this last spring when he was riding his Harley home from work at 2am and he hit a DEER. It killed him instantly.

Very close friend of a friend just got back from Iraq, bought himself a new Harley, killed last weekend. Everyone is devastated. They were so relieved when he got back safely from his tours, and now so soon gone.

Thank you all for the kind words.

I guess the next challenge will be getting the jackals who insure it to fix it, despite my having full coverage.
