I was hoping they were giving flu shots at some of the truck stops, so truckers could get them. but I guess not. that would be a great thing if they were. my dh never gets home time. well, almost never. so getting a shot here is a not. He will be home thanksgivng day, is all.

I actually GOT the flu this year...

    Came down with a 104 fever 11/2...

It was AWFUL -- I found a little Dr's office in MO. that was open on the weekend -- and he told me that he had been seeing flu cases since MID OCTOBER!!!

So -- I guess I have a question -- I usually get a flu shot every year -- Do I still need one??? Since I've already got the flu???

This was only the second time in about 15 years that I have been sick...

    And...

Being sick IN THE TRUCK -- AWAY FROM HOME -- WAS AWUFL...

Probably still need one. You got one strain of the virus. Flu shots cover multiple strains. I would imagine truckers come into contact with many more types than the average person.

I'll try and get one tomorrow as I've got to go in for a random drug test..

I definitely don't want to get sick again... :puke:

Thanks. I visit several. This one is good. Its a little bit bigger than I like but lots of good info to be found here. I plan to detail my experience with Superior Carriers here in the company DAC report section.
