I understand the purpose of the testing, but I can't pass them yet feel I'm adequately prepared to do the job. Today, for example; I've already crawled in and out of the trailer without aid, crawled under the trailer twice and been in and out of the cab at least 6 times. It probably wasn't pretty, I didn't set any speed records, but what needed to be done was done.

Why can't that be good enough?

Hoses are heavy. Especially when loaded with fuel. You know how you walk water out of the garden hose?

    You are constantly bending over.

I worked out at home with a single dumbell of 22lbs. I worked it where I felt the strain in my back when throwing hoses. I got the muscles in great shape.

    I had a microdisckectomy of L5S1 5 years before.

    Jackofalltrades1977 Thanks this.

Well I'm ready for Eagle. Worked out a date for me to start given, my TM at my current employer lets me work a notice. Ready to get this ball(well wheels in this case) rolling.

I'm considering a move to Eagle. I've got no experience hauling gas, but hauled water tankers in construction recently, and pool water like 15 years ago. Tampa or Orlando terminals, if they're hiring. Any advice?

When I went online to place my application it said to call the terminal before proceeding. So I called the terminal manager and we went from there. The only advice I can give you is to call the closest terminal and ask.

Gas hauling is seasonal. Last summer they sent 4-6 drivers to Nashville for a while. 2 from NC, and 4 or more from Florida. They made great money+ got perdium+ hotel and rental cars.

They might not be hiring in Tampa this time of year. BTW gas doesn't slosh that much. 5 compartments to some degree cancel each other out.
