That would be an option if I could have gotten back to the yard. Nevertheless, the truck is ready. Now it's just getting a ride back up there.

Outlaw company? No way, my husband has been running now for close to 2 weeks and had no issues like that. In fact, they are very aware of his time. No trucking company is perfect, but some are definetly better than others......trucking has it's own set of demons no matter what I have found. Yes, there are companies I would avoid, but so far, JCT has been very very good. One of the best I have seen. We will put our all into it and see how goes, as I stated in my post.
-
So JCT flew you home but won't fly you back to pick up your truck???
-
My flight leaves tomorrow at 1230pm. They were trying to see if they could find a driver to carry me up there First. JCT doesn't strand their drivers.
TRKRSHONEY and Jarhed1964 Thank this. -
Sorry to jump in with a different concern, but here goes. Big Daddy and I have been with JCT for 2 1/2 years now. When they went electronic log, we balked, but now love it. When he goes to sleep, I don't have to try to figure out where I am for the logbook when I start. lol BUT, we are having a huge issue with the repowers. Seems, we can't get a coast-to-coast load to save our neck. And the minute we do, we haven't gone 500 miles before they are HARASSING us to give it up and take a repower. Of course, that repower is hot, all 350 miles left of it, and they really need our help. If we refuse, all ####e hits the fan. Glenn is the worst, he insults us. Are any more teams having the same problem or are we the retarded cousins they want to keep in the attic?
-
They are recruiting hard for teams, but keeping us, requires cooperation. I've loved my last 2 1/2 years at JCT and am saddened that we are now forced to look elsewhere.
-
Wow...that's no good at all. I know from my previous experience that with planners, once you give them an inch, they want a mile. I would have a serious talk with my dm and inform him that you obviously cannot afford to do repowers with only 350 miles left on them. Explain that you don't mind doing repowers every once in awhile, but you need a bone on the other end. I would also write an email to your dm explaining how Glenn has been berating you and that it will no longer be tolerated. It has been my experience that the JCT higher ups do not take kindly to the staff berating their bread and butter.

This is old, but they told you they couldn't get you to Florida from Houston? Every load we ever got to Florida from LA went straight through Houston. Just sayin'. Of course, we can't get those loads anymore, they're only going to people who live in Florida. Oh, that's right, you live in Florida....hmmm

Sadly, we called our DM and asked her to intercede, via voicemail. NO response from her. However; we did receive three more QC messages from the repower king stating our DM was aware of the situation and agreed with him. He called me twice to force me to take the repower, but I was so upset and driving a 80,000 lb truck, that I refused to listen to anymore of his harrassment. I told him I was driving and to not call me again and hung up. Of course, he sent a message demanding I not hang up on him. I pulled over, walked around the truck, screamed profanities at the sky and upon getting back into my truck turned the phone off. lol
