just finished a 2300 mile round trip from SW FL to the Philly area for meeting. The only bad drivers I saw, all appeared to be local (day cabs and straight trucks). All of the OTR guys were pretty good. No tailgating, none speeding, no excessive lane changing,
After reading this post for last week or 2 and having not left FL for a couple of years now, I was expecting a lot worse.
There were a couple of the local looking guys that I was tempted to call in. Had one guy about 3 feet behind me for about 6-7 miles. Cruise set at 65 in a 70. plenty of open road for him to pass me, but sat there right behind me. horn blaring, lights flashing, I just turned the radio up, and dimmed the review mirror.

Two days ago a driver passed me just before a hill on 2 lane highwy, truck coming down the hill, barely to no room, of course I braked and pulled over on what shoulder I could find as the other driver did. This guy didn't give a care one way or the other. he plowed right through knowing we'd either move or get hit.. gotta admit I was hot for a bit, I found myself looking for him up the road some where stopped on a break. This is ridiculas, I don't want to think or feel like that , I mean if he wanted to pass why not wait for a safe oppurnity?

I was driving down US59 coming into Laredo last week. 55mph construction zone and I was doing 55. Another driver came up and got soo close that it was getting me a little nervouse. I'd say 10-15 feet behind me. I saw what looked to be highway patrol sitting on the shoulder a ways down and got a huge grin goin on my face! "that'll teach ya!" is what I was thinking. Turned out to be a construction vehicle. driver went on to pass me a few miles later across the solid yellow.

if somebody is riding your ###--just drift over to the right and start kicking stones back at him--they tend back off a bit after that

Last week, was heading north on I-95 through New Haven, CT in the far right lane at 55. Had a loaded gas hauler pass me, ride up about 18 inches off the rear of a 4 wheeler and brake. He stayed there for a few miles until he had an opportunity to move left and pass. I got it all on my dash cam, haven't reported him yet tho...
