When someone says they haven't been called in on in so and so years, well, No ####! I went in to talk to the manager about this. My reasoning, smart phones. Used to be people had to write down the truck info, go home and call information or search online for the truck company, etc. Not now. They just back out of Facebook on their phone, pull up Google and type in the info, all while still driving next to the truck. Up pops a phone number in the search results that is hi-lited and all you have to do is tap the number and your phone dials it. 10 seconds and you're on the phone with the company that you just got mad at.
Think I'm joking? I did it. Called the first number that popped up in Google, and made an "anonymous" complaint about myself. Total time from search to end of call.... 3 minutes.
I should be hearing about my complaint soon.
I'm Done!!

When I pulled doubles for RPS they also faulted the driver no matter what the incident was, so it is not a coincidence when Fed Ex bought out RPS that they would inherit this trait. Biscuit I feel your pain but you need to think before you just up and quit the whole thing....Give it the weekend at least.

The whole deal with big companies, the Feds, more rules, cop harassment, etc. really makes this job tough. I started collecting SS last year but put the $$$ in my fuel tank five months of last year...
I'm about done with this #### full time... after the tater harvest is done in October I'm going to reassess the whole deal. maybe I'll run some in the winter (south) and take off in the summer.... or work the harvest and take off in the winter.... but I'm just about ready to finally call it a day. -

He asked whats so funny? I said well around that time I was getting loaded over here was a good 30-50 miles from there. Showed him my Weigh in and weigh out tickets to prove to him I was there. Only time I was happy to have time stamped Tickets. Then I proceeded to tell him I had to take a detour for a fellow Employee that had there PTO stuck open and wouldn't disengage. Emplyee vouched for me as thats where I was. I was not closer than 20 miles from where I was swerving all over. The place.CommDriver Thanks this. -
Biscuit75 are you OK?
I ran up on a bad wreck Thursday on I-77 south involving a FedEx pulling doubles. Hope this wasn't you.

That's how companies are. You're at fault no matter what.Trying to explain your side is just a waste, why even try.No innocent till proven guilty in trucking. Not enough time with all the careless fireing they do.I just shut up and do my job.
Traveler51 and Rick_C Thank this. -
I dunno what to tell you man. Find a job with a less stupid company?

That sucks Biscuit. They way the roads are crowded now and everyone has a cellphone at their fingertips, call ins are more frequent and a way to do the low down and dirty of having the last say. It's good in away for the real problem drivers, but even little stuff is being exaggerated now to the "I'll show you".
To me sounds like you need a fresh start with a new company. Not that you can't fix your current problem, but to fix the 2 year humdrum thing. Take a short break, then the fun of trucking will return.
It's like mechanicing or something where something is giving you a problem. Take a break and come back to it and it's no problem. Same principle.
I've had one call in over the years. But it was one of them follow you reporting companies. I got a positive report though. -
Big companies seem to be worse than small companies.
I used to get complaints for going to slow. But I was just timing the lights. Most car drivers are ignorant and should be required to ride in a truck on a regular basis.
I just had someone pull up along side me on a on ramp and just sit there.
