I have told many people this and they just give me a blank stare. They don't seem to understand that a solid pull with no wheel hop is a lot easier than dragging 90,000+ lbs up a 8 mile grade in the middle of summer. A stock truck can go out and pull a lot without much problems (the clutch will be the first issue).

I'm right there with you, I didn't get a clutch in my new truck for it's first pull, and let's just say the 14" clutch that is I the truck wasnt up to snuff.
My first pull on m new truck opened up some other things I need to look into before it goes down the track again, besides the injectors and push rods I messed up I think I'm going to have to rebush the suspension. -
Anything else anyone? Getting bored lol!

You got that right, and once it cools way down it is just time to relax.

Well I guess truck pullin's startin back up again!! Anybody been to any good semi pulls yet? I saw the Big Rigs pull up at Mercer on Sunday night... Dale Francis has is own truck in this year.. single turbo E9 which won.... looks like hes gonna be the one to beat in the Big Rigs class
-
I saw some people talking about that truck, though they said he was running it the first time out for a customer.
I haven't been to any yet, but we are going to try and make one this weekend, but it is still up in the air of wether we want to drive 3.5hrs one way to a pull. Three of us are pulling different trucks from last year, so it should be interesting.
A update on my T600 was that I bent every exhaust valve, the valves smacked the pistons pretty hard when it over revved. -
Are you talking about the pull in Alliance OH? The PA Posse has a new truck following the circuit this year that should be interesting. It is owned by Jerry Ray Hairhoger, his Dad has the KW with the KTA600 in it that does so well. Jerry Ray's truck has an electronic CAT that is very strong. I'm going to ride out to watch its debut pull Friday night.
