I call and email at least once a day. Cheryl was hoping to hear something yesterday but still no word. I will call again this morning.

A lot of it has to do with insurance too...thats why you have to jump through hoops with medical stuff......I got snipped almost 4 months before I went to Roehl and was on hydrocordone.....when I listed it on the saftey questionare at the school I spent 3 days calling people in safety....because they were worried it would show up on my hair follicle test....also Roehl is really pushing hard on the sleep apnea thing (the latest buzzword in Trucking)....so they have to do thourgh checks...plus they maybe waiting on paperwork from your physical.....there are a ton of things that can be slowing the process down.... just be patient...and CALL

Thanks...and man have I been calling. I just got off the phone and safety is going over to medical to see what is going on. Cheryl said she hopes to call me back soon. If I don't hear anything it's off to pumpkin land. As far as the drug testing when I went to school we had to have one and I was worried that the morphene I was on would show up and Dr. told me it was probably long enough but if it did I had papers showing I had it while in hospital. Only was on it for 2 days and then They were complaining I wasn't hitting the "happy" button.

Well Cheryl is who recruited me and she was amazing. I didn't have 1 question unanswered.

My application took about 5 months. But see I applied for Roehl before turning 21 and before I went to trucking school. She told me I was pre-hired the next day. She called me and told me to call her when I started school and when doing so she will set up a physical appointment.

My school was two months. And it took only 3 days after the physical to have me setup for orientation.

Maybe my logic of thinking is different then most. In order for me to quit a job I need to know I have my basis covered when looking for a new one. I know how some company's have various things they do before even sending you to take a physical or drug test so why wait until the last minute to do so? Not suggesting that's what you did. But in my case I provided them plenty of time to process my application and I knew if they were sending me to do the physical I would get hired. Though I didn't have any hiccups in my medical record or past but even if I did I still had amply time to give myself and them to process it.

    Just my 2c.

By the way. What is the dress code for Roehl. Seeing I am heading for Hotlanta I am hoping they allow decent shorts. Any comments

Long sleeve shirts, no shorts, skull cap when below 90 degrees, and gloves.

Dude your a trucker. Wear what you want! Just make sure it's appropriate for orientation

Come on. Give me a little slack. Alot of the companies have a no shorts rule. I have plenty packed and did not want to bring if I couldn't wear. Scull cap. I have not worn one since prior to your birth. 1982 when I was on the DMZ in Korea. One day you and I will meet and then I will make you buy this old jarhead a beer. THANKS!!!!!

Haha. Just having a little fun. Truthfully I wouldn't concern myself about a dress code. I mean unless your shirt says F*** you or something offensive they won't care.

    Welcome aboard Marine!!

Dress code?? This ain't TMC. :biggrin_2559: Just wear clean clothes, nothing politically incorrect, and take a shower each night and you will be fine. I've seen some real "winners" come through Gary and you would think by what they wear we would show them the door, but we don't. As long as you can drive safely the Roehl way, welcome aboard. Now if you do come here and are a slob, that's a personal problem! :biggrin_25525:
