ok, better day today other then the other student scaring us with his driving. Shifted better but not as well as i would like to be at...almost. I just need time behind the wheel now. They sent 1 home today, come to find out sleeping in the back of the cab and not listening to the instructor isn't a good idea lol. We have three that are on the line tomorrow, not doing well shifting i think. I might get held up over some medical stuff because my doctor needs to sign off and he isn't back in the office until Monday :| Other then that, long days, learning a ton of stuff and my brain feels like scrambled eggs each night :) I love it hehehe

Glad to hear your doing well.

Orientation is like an accelerated school of sorts. We lost a guy in my class because he couldn't shift worth a darn.

Your gonna get exhausted by the end of the week. Driving everyday plus class work will put unfamiliar stress on your body. I'm feeling the same way now with flat bedding. I spent 3 hours strapping and tarping a load of plywood then had to drive 6 hours to where I'm at now. It takes a toll on your body.

Just keep your head up and you'll be fine. Look forward to seeing you on the road.

Like Dirtydiesel said, it will put alot of stress on your body. Shifting will come in time, they aren't looking for you to be 100% at it so don't worry about that. Their concerns are that when you do lose a gear or cant find one that you don't freak out and operate the truck in a unsafe manner.

Im currently in Gary right now. If you tell me what your wearing I'll keep a eye out for you.

I am talking with jessica. She called me today and said she is just waiting on my school to send in a few things and waiting on my last employer to send something back to them. So I hope to be starting there soon. How are you liking it?

I was the flatbed truck grinding gears pulling into the fuel island. Had to remove a tarp and get another one then head out.
