I bet Biscuit is still on the road. I felt the same way. After two years doing something else and battling to make a living I'm back on the road. It's a curse brother. Diesel in the veins is a curse, but I LOVE IT. Keep on trucking. Don't let them get you down!!!.

There's nothing wrong with you, Biscuit- you chose an "Anal Retentive" employer. Just like a cold, faceless and unemotional machine, they believe you cause all the problems they have to deal with. Unfortunately, that's what you get for the pay and benefits- abuse and criticism.

Am I the only one worried about Biscuit? Last board activity was 3 days ago. The wreck was 2 days ago. It looks like he is from Ohio south of Cleveland and meets for a trailer exchange in Beckley. The wreck happened north of Charleston on I-77. Driver was OK but went to the hospital. I sure hope Biscuit drives at night.

"Fedex" Is a corporation with quite a few divisions. Obviously you worked for either Ground or Freight. Work for Express. Its pretty hard to lose you're job unless you're an idiot and falsify your time card or a delivery or truck damage. For everything else, they have a process that you would end up having to keep repeating the issues before you end up getting fired. You wouldnt be driving tractor/trailer unless you want part time.

I heard about this. It wasn't me. I don't know who exactly it was. But I'm ok. I run from Columbus to Beckley, so I'm down 23 and 35. I appreciate the concern. I've been gardening around my house after work (my place was starting to look like a Husqvarna commercial) and also helping a girl friend of mine around her farm since she's single again and some things she still needs a man, no matter what she says. :biggrin_25525:

I'll still be driving for the time being. I would like to find something else. Applied for an off road hauling job for a local quarry. Also waiting on a spot at Old Dominion if it opens up. Come January the Operating Engineers local takes apps. I always thought operating heavy equipment or running a crane would be good. And at 29.95/hr, a journeymans wage and union benefits sound good.

But, until all that works out, it's still in the ole' FedEx Ground truck. I work 9 hours a day and make good money, can't give that up because I'm mad...

Buscuit...we're all glad you weren't involved. Thanks for checking in.

If it's any consolation, I'm in day four of an unexpected five-day break (down)...turbo bearing failed, so I'm not making any money (other than breakdown pay), just four days after a six-day time-at-home. So my give-a-dam is damaged right now....

May ain't-a-gonna be too good...and June ain't lookin' great to begin with.
