I did a couple of frac loads last summer. We hauled fresh water to the frac sites and filled the frac tanks. Im a oil hauler but have friends who do water. It isnt hazmat. Have been on staging locations for frac jobs. The ambeant temp water is heated by a hot oiler truck then loaded onto water trucks and hauled to the actual frac job. Some production water may have some H2S poison gas in it since the water comes out with the oil but you will know that when u show up on a well and see those shiney yellow tanks sitting at the bottom of the stairs. Just wear your meter and you'll b alright.

No hazmat required..but some is very hazardous,norm,h2s,condensate,etc.

looking at Red Wing shoes right now - in anticipation - as I passed all sections of the written Monday morning & have a list of 70+ companies to contact ~ my strategy right at the moment is to as questions as any company that writes back will be very obviously interested in operations rather than mouth -
That is the million dollar question. It is one of the things Cheney and his energy cronies wanted to keep secret very badly from the EPA. What exactly is in frac water is labled "trade secret" so that they do not have to disclose what is in it and thus not be subject to regulation by the EPA. Common sense tells you it is hazardous but the energy barrons will destroy anyone who even hints at exposing, officially, what it is. Even fire departements have standing orders to treat all frac truck accidents as hazardous even though the truck is not placarded as hazardous because they know it is toxic stuff and they don't want their fire fighters and paramedics getting this stuff on them regardless of what BS the energy companies are telling the public. And that is really all you need to know. If emergency responders are showing up to frac truck spills in full hazmat suits, what do you think?
joshuapowell61 and Logan76 Thank this.
