Is that the general attitude up there or mostly just with Carlile. I know there's other companies that run it like Sourdough Express. I'm not set on Carlile, they just seem to be the company with the most work to offer.

Any regional HH companies in your area? Logging etc, might be a place to start maybe. 1 thing I know working in -20 temps sucks. Can't imagine -50,hope you like cold weather ! Best of luck.

There are a lot of companies that do the same thing besides Carlisle. There are many gigs that haul freight from the states through "Canuck Town" up to Alaska. Roads are rough, very rough, in the summertime no less! Actually now that I think about it, someone just posted on another thread about landing a gig driving like WA to Alaska. I'll see if I can find it and post a link to it.
Empyrean, if that is your dream then don't let anything or anyone hold you back! You may have to drive second seat or team or maybe not make top pay but you should have no problem getting into something like that. You aren't asking to fly to the moon! Go for it man! Keep us posted! -
Here you go buddy....

Maybe talk to Texan007 and see if he can get you an in! -
You are a good man Sir. Much appreciated.
ATS and their wind division really spiked my interests. I will definitely be looking into them.chompi Thanks this. -
It was mainly carlisle, but still, if you got hired on with them, you'd help balance out the bad rep with your good attitude. If you want another idea for a starting point, maybe consider giving this guy a call, he's looking to place some o/o's and company drivers in Canada and Alaska: http://eastidaho.craigslist.org/trp/3051559883.html

See if this website helps too. Just type in the state you are interested in and it will give you a list of just about every company in that area. Great for finding the "mom and pop" companies!
